Carly Ray Jepsen vs. Annie Lennox – Call Me on Broken Glass
I’ve somehow managed to remain largely immune to the whole ‘Call Me Maybe’ thing so far. However, this is utterly bonkers, utterly silly and somehow absolutely brilliant. This is, obviously, helped by the fact that ‘Walking on Broken Glass’ remains an utterly brilliant song despite – or perhaps because of – being approximately the same age as Ms. Jepsen herself. A fact both genius and depressing in equal measure, I’ll grant you.
Fight it all you want, it’s going to give you a case of the cheesy grins too and you know it so just give in already.
Yes, this really is happening. I’m as baffled as you are but isn’t this what makes pop amazing?
