Ms Mr – ‘Hurricane’

Hello dark sultry synth pop of the highest order it is nice to see you again.

There isn’t a lot currently known about Ms Mr, aside from this frankly well shoddy press shot that someone undoubtedly got paid a grand for DESPITE THEIR HEADS BEING CUT OFF.  I mean, what?

Fortunately this is one of those tracks that manages to be strangely euphoric while having its roots firmly in the gloom. It feels like a sort of strange mash-up of Sugababes’ ‘Stronger’ and Husband’s ‘Love Song’, if you can imagine such a thing.  Well you don’t need to because it is here.  And it is good.

Also excellent is the continuation of gender-oriented descriptor thingies as band names. See also: She & Him, which I’m guessing might have inspired this one a bit, being practically the same?!
